Craig's son Bryan was visiting, so we went for a little snowshoe. We used to park at the turnoff for Snowdon, but they complained at me so instead we park back with the snomos. So this hike starts with a bit of a walk on the road. That's okay, though; it's very pretty. And we got to admire the ice. |

Soon enough, we were wading through some pretty deep snow. When the going got tough, Dakota helped by standing on our snowshoes. |

I got a little off track, which didn't help much, either. After that extra bit of work, we were back on familiar terrain and getting blasted by sunshine. |

It gets a little steep. That's when we let Bryan take over. |

And above that, the views kick in. |

About to step onto the summit. |

Summit. No wind. Sunshine. About 30°F. Tea time! Bryan's comment: "Pretty nice neighborhood you live in, Dad." |

In the sun, the snow was quickly getting heavy. Time to go down. Of course, that snow was also gaining moisture, making the down part a little slippery. |

Traversing the hillside. Under all that snow, this is granite. |

Bryan spotted this editorial comment on our passing. | ![]() |
