It's nice to strap on the snowshoes and start walking, especially if you can do the strapping in your own driveway. Here the route starts in my own yard. |

After crossing the street, a short traverse and then descent brings you through the aspen grove. |

At the bottom of the hill, the route follows an abandoned railroad grade. It's pretty flat. |

Turn at the fence that separates our subdivision and head toward the creek. Instead of lodgepole, it's sort of meadowy. | ![]() |

After looping back and returning on the railroad grade, start climbing through open trees. |
