A great hike 5 minutes from my house, Lucky Peak overlooks the whole valley.
- Summit: 5904' (~3100' gain, ~ 10 miles round trip)

Art was visiting and wanted to go for a good hike. Since neither of us had ever walked up Lucky Peak, that was our destination. Click on this picture to see a large elk herd. |

Once we got above the city smog, it was very pretty. The picture above shows the Danskins and Trinitys, and quite a few peaks I've climbed. The arrows indicate these peaks:

We left the road and adventured on the way back. This is an old homestead site and spring. | |
