Jughandle Mountain

Although it was Spring in Boise, there was fresh snow in McCall. Art and John enjoyed the long mush up to Jughandle from the road, catching up on their hectic adult lives or reminiscing about their long-lost youth.

As we neared the summit, it was quite cold. The fresh powder was perfect, and not a track to be seen. Nirvana.

Looking across the valley toward Payette Lake, the scene was picture perfect. In fact, John used this picture for their family Christmas card that year.

See those low clouds in the distance? After a long toil up the mountain in sunshine, those clouds brought near white-out conditions just as the dynamic duo reached the top of the ridge. Nature has such a sense of humor.
