On the South Fork of the Salmon River

I have been riding mountain bikes for a long time. Here I am on what was supposed to be a week-long tour, heading for the end of the road on the South Fork of the Salmon River. The sign says "End of the Road." It was, and there is a really cool trail. But it's narrow with cliffs offering 50-foot drops into the river. We turned around and found some tamer terrain. That's my friend Harry's original Stumpjumper. |
